The entire team at Seer Data & Analytics wishes to congratulate Deanne Weir on her retirement as Chair of AI-Media.

Deanne has stepped down after 14 hugely successful years as Chair of AI-Media (ASX: AIM), the world’s leading captioning provider. AI-Media helps many of the world’s leading brands caption their TV broadcasts, live streams, events, virtual meetings and more.

In last week’s announcement about Deanne’s retirement, CEO and Co-Founder of AI-Media Tony Abrahams said “Without Deanne there would be no AI-Media. Her early investment, her mentoring and guidance, and her board leadership have all been critical to the development of the business. I am extremely grateful for all that she has done for the business, and for her many years of support.”

Deanne’s fellow director of the past 14 years, and incoming Chair John Martin noted “On behalf of the Board I want to thank Deanne for everything that she has done for AI-Media. She has been a pleasure to work with, and a driving force in the business. I am looking forward to working with the Board, Tony and the executive team in my new capacity as Chair as we continue to grow the Company and deliver increased shareholder value.”

The move will mean Deanne has more time to spend on her role as Chair of Seer Data, driving the company towards achieving similar success as we move together into an exciting period for data sharing, collaboration and storytelling to enable community-led problem solving.

Deanne said “It has been an absolute privilege to be part of the AIM story, from the very beginning 20 years ago as one the Company’s first customers, and then over the last 14 years as investor, mentor, board member and Chair.”

Seer Data CEO and Co-founder Kristi Mansfield said “I am looking forward to spending more time working with Deanne on the industry-shifting opportunities ahead of us.  Seer Data is focussed on our mission to democratise data access and put data in the hands of communities, in line with the government’s commitment to place-based approaches to problem-solving.”
