Self-Service Data Collection (SSDC) enables organisations to collect and ingest their own data into the Seer platform. Self Service Data Collection (SSDC) is an uppgraded feature available to organisations that have a premium subscription to the Seer Data & Analytics platform.

What is an Insight?2023-10-27T15:03:00+11:00

An Insight is the result of exploring data within Seer. It may include a simple statistic, a more complex table of figures and a graph showing results relevant to your query.

For each Insight, you can write a summary of your observations and key messages. An insight is saved in a Suitcase of your choice and may then be shared with others. Tables and charts produced as part of your Insight can be exported in Excel and in an image format for use outside Seer. Insights can be embedded within your Dashboards.

A Suitcase is a project space where you can store relevant Insights. You can create as many Insights within a Suitcase as you like. On the Suitcases page, you can create a new Suitcase by clicking on the ➕ symbol and giving your Suitcase a title and description.

The Seer Data Platform has evolved and provide the ability for users ingest their own non-publicly available data to
collaborate and analyse this data in conjunction with Open Data and with other Users of the Seer Data Platform.
The data custodians of these private datasets are able to provide controlled access to the data to Users or partner
organisations whom they trust or only share within their own organisation. Please refer to Seer Data Governance & Privacy for more details.

The Seer Data platform, including Open and Private data, is hosted on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud
provider and benefits from the security assurances that AWS makes to their customers. It is the policy of Seer Data that all Datasets (Aggregate and URL) hosted in the Seer Data Platform must not contain personally identifiable information (PII).

How much does Seer Data cost?2023-11-17T14:57:20+11:00

Seer Data’s standard plan is free and allows access for up to 5 users to explore open datasets and create unlimited  Insights and Suitcases. The Seer Data plus plan starts at $10,500 annually, up to 10 users can access more open dataset collections and build powerful data storytelling dashboards. For $15,500 a year paying for the plus plan with add-ons, your organisation can ingest localised private data and collaborate with partner organisations.
