Our place-based customers and community-led initiatives will already be familiar with PLACE (Partnerships for Learning and Community Engagement).

The Seer Data Platform has been the data infrastructure for the Stronger Places, Stronger People initiative for the past 6 years. Over that time – especially the last 18 months during the formation of Nexus, now known as PLACE – we have been working with key stakeholders to contribute to the design of the data pillar of this initiative. It is incredibly exciting to see this transformative initiative come to fruition. The official launch of PLACE marks a significant milestone in advancing community-led approaches to education and support, and we are delighted to have played a role in shaping such an impactful program.
PLACE is a data-driven initiative that brings together communities, educators, government agencies, and philanthropic stakeholders to create a brighter future for Australian children. Acting as a central hub, PLACE ensures decisions are informed by robust data and that resources are directed where they will have the greatest impact. By focusing on evidence-based, place-based approaches, PLACE empowers children and families with access to high-quality education and tailored support services that address local needs.
A key part of PLACE’s strategy is the use of data to identify gaps, measure progress, and drive meaningful change. The Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children (IDAC) has played a vital role in this process, facilitating the ‘Working Together Agreement’ to align government and philanthropic partners on shared principles, with a strong emphasis on data. By ensuring strategies are grounded in evidence, PLACE enables stakeholders to co-design solutions with communities that are both impactful and sustainable. This data-centric approach helps communities tackle unique challenges while building a foundation for resilience and growth.
The announcement of PLACE’s partnerships with 50 communities across Australia demonstrates the initiative’s remarkable progress. By leveraging data to understand the needs and aspirations of each community, PLACE delivers precise and effective interventions that will positively shape the lives of a generation of children. We are thrilled to see how PLACE is set to transform opportunities for communities across Australia, further demonstrating the power of collaboration and evidence-based decision-making.
